THE BUSINESS OF BEAUTY
I am going to take a dive deep right in.
Without so much as even a glance beneath me to see if there are rocks or to see if the tide is high or low or if the water is too cold.
I am going to talk about the gigantic pink elephant in the Corona Virus infected houses we are all quarantined in. I know we are all thinking it.
And we are all freaking the f#@% out.
This is not intended to create fear. But, to a pragmatic fault, I will attempt to face what lies ahead. Just like looking at our cash flow plans we have had to redo for Covid, we must be informed so we can make informed decisions.
When will we reopen is not really my question anymore.
My question is HOW will we reopen?
I watched the news this morning with the parade of guests on the morning shows. They tried to explain how restaurants will have to change their procedures, serving with gloves and masks, spacing out tables, and staggering reservations. What they left our of the conversation was that the rent does not stagger, the utilities and loan payments do not decrease.
No matter how fine tuned our cash flow projection are, fixed expenses stay fixed.
